Work that is quiet, clear, and stands on solid ground
Lestari Works was built for small businesses that do not need an outsourced department — just a handful of tasks handled carefully and without drama.

How Lestari Works came about
In 2021, the founders of Lestari Works were watching the same thing play out across small businesses in Miri: owners and their staff spending large portions of their week on tasks that were not complicated — just repetitive, time-consuming, and prone to small errors that caused bigger problems later.
Compliance returns, vendor correspondence, small corrections that needed someone to sit down and go through a stack of figures. The kind of work that is nobody's favourite and everybody's responsibility.
The question was whether software could take over the assembly part — the gathering, the sorting, the drafting of standard replies — while leaving the judgement and sign-off where they belong: with the person who knows the business.
Lestari Works was set up to answer that question in a narrow, practical way. We chose three areas where the scope was clear and the risk of getting it wrong was contained, then built the setup and the checks around each one. We have been working that way since.
Mission
To give small businesses time back by handling the assembly work in compliance, vendor communication, and ad hoc support — with clear scope, traceable output, and honest reporting.
What We Are Not
We are not accountants, lawyers, or compliance officers. We do not give professional advice. We handle the preparation work and make the verification step as short as possible for the person who is qualified to sign off on it.
Why "Lestari"
Lestari means enduring or sustainable in Malay. We chose it because we are not trying to do everything — we are trying to do a few things well, for a long time, without shortcuts that cause problems later.
The People

Nurul Liyana

How We Work
Standards we hold our work to
Source traceability
Every figure in a compliance return links back to its source record. You can follow the chain without asking us to explain it.
Human approval at every exit
Nothing is submitted or sent on your behalf without your explicit approval. The checklist is designed to make that approval step short, not to remove it.
Data handling discipline
Client data is used only for the purpose it was shared for. We do not retain figures or correspondence beyond the period needed to complete the task.
Sensitive decisions stay human
Pricing exceptions, credit terms, and compliance judgements never receive an automated draft. These go straight to you without a suggested answer.
Quarterly reporting
Support hours are logged and reported in full at the end of each quarter. If a request falls outside our competence, we say so at the time, not in the report.
Monthly term refresh
The Vendor Enquiry Desk is updated monthly with your current lead times and seasonal terms so drafted replies stay accurate over time.
AI-assisted business support in Miri, Sarawak
Small businesses across Sarawak deal with recurring compliance work, vendor correspondence, and small operational questions that do not justify hiring additional staff but still take up significant time each month. Lestari Works addresses these three areas specifically, using software to handle the repetitive assembly and drafting tasks while keeping human judgement at every decision point.
The Reporting Aid for Compliance Returns is designed for businesses that file recurring returns — GST, SST, or other periodic reports — where the work is gathering figures and putting them in the right format rather than making decisions about them. The Vendor Enquiry Desk handles the volume of standard supplier questions that come through regularly. The Support Hours retainer covers the miscellaneous requests that do not fit neatly into either category.
